This course offers an in-depth exploration of healthcare policy frameworks and the role of advocacy in influencing positive health outcomes for populations. Students will gain a broad understanding of the healthcare system’s structural components, policy formation processes, and the political and social contexts that shape healthcare access and delivery. The course places special emphasis on recognizing health disparities and social determinants while developing advocacy skills to promote ethical, equitable, and efficient healthcare systems. Through real-world examples, case studies, and applied advocacy planning, learners will acquire practical tools to participate in policy discussions, design campaigns, and influence health decisions at institutional, state, and national levels.
